LEADERSHIP COACHING
What is Leadership Coaching?
We believe leaders face unique challenges based on their style, experiences, and contexts. Coaching provides space in which leaders can explore ideas, work through problems, and learn about themselves. We believe our biggest job as a coach is simply listening. In our coaching relationships, we aim to get a complete understanding of who you are and how you lead.
What Makes The Leadership Professors Coaching Unique?
We approach coaching as an identity-based process of guided reflection to help you identify and overcome barriers to your effectiveness as a leader. We use a variety of tools such as dialogue, exercises, workbooks and thought questions to help you clarify priorities, uncover assumptions, and work through transitions. We make observations based on our knowledge of leadership research and our experience working with leaders. Based on our experience as researchers, we translate scientific evidence into practical steps for you to implement in your own life. We suggest resources and tactics that you can leverage and practice in all areas of your life to move towards becoming your ideal leader.
How Will I Meet My Coach?
The ideal coaching relationship occurs face-to-face, however, for busy leaders, this is not always possible. We often use different modalities including video conferencing and telephone to touch base. The frequency and duration of coaching sessions really depends on the needs to the leader. We recommend at least 3 one-hour sessions.
